Hello there! I’m Stan, the creator behind HobbyPython. My journey with computers began when I was just 13 years old, igniting a passion that has burned brightly ever since.
My first foray into programming was with BASIC, tinkering on classic machines like the ZX Spectrum, Meritum, and Atari 65XE. Those early days of coding simple programs and games laid the foundation for a lifelong fascination with the power of computers and software.
Throughout the years, I’ve kept my finger on the pulse of technology, always eager to learn and adapt. For the past 25 years, I’ve been working professionally in the software industry, focusing on project management and product management. This experience has given me a unique perspective on how software is developed, deployed, and used in the real world.
But my true passion lies in coding itself. While my day job involves overseeing projects and products, I’ve never stopped programming. In my free time, I’m constantly working on personal projects, exploring new ideas, and pushing the boundaries of what I can create with code.
A few years ago, I discovered Python, and it was love at first sight. The elegance, versatility, and power of Python captured my imagination, and I’ve been coding exclusively in Python ever since. From web scraping to data analysis, from game development to machine learning, Python has become my Swiss Army knife of programming languages.
This blog is my way of sharing my passion for Python with fellow enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Here, you’ll find tutorials, project ideas, tips and tricks, and musings on the joys of coding as a hobby. My goal is to inspire others to discover the fun and fulfillment that comes from creating with code, just as I have throughout my life.
Whether you’re a seasoned programmer or just starting out, I hope you’ll join me on this Python adventure. Let’s explore, learn, and create together!
Happy coding!
